To be eligible for these positions,  the candidate must:

• be a young researcher (under 35 years of age, although older candidates may exceptionally be considered);
• be able to contribute to one of the areas of activity described in the scientific programme of the network;
• satisfy one of the following conditions:

- be a national of a Member State of the European Community,
- have been a resident of the European Community for at least 5 years,
- be a national of an Associated State (Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia);
• NOT be a national of any of the countries in which he/she wishes to hold the position.
• NOT have resided in the country of the desired position for more than 12 of the 24 months preceding the beginning of the position.
